Our long-awaited building dedication and blessing finally took place in October, 2021. We recognized the individuals whose creative problem-solving and sincere commitment to Ancillae made this dream a reality. More than that, they made the impossible happen, working to get this building open in time for last school year so that we could bring all our students to campus, meeting the necessary distancing protocols.

But meeting distancing requirements wasn’t the reason for this renovation project. Innovation was. For 75 years now, Ancillae-Assumpta Academy has had a coherent institutional purpose and a commitment to a continuous improvement discipline. Through that discipline, we have always consciously engaged with the future. At the Academy, we have a commitment to academic excellence in an innovative and compelling learning environment that prepares students as impactful global citizens. That was the bold vision for this new facility!

Construction In Progress

Future engineers, biologists, researchers, environmentalists, computer scientists, astronomers, and innovators sit in our classrooms every day at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy. Witnessing their creativity and curiosity energizes us in moving Ancillae forward and compels the Board of Trustees and Administration to plan for their future with commitment and resolve.

Alumna Nance Dicciani Helps Launch Campaign for New Innovation Center

WYNCOTE, Pa., April 2, 2019 – Ancillae-Assumpta Academy, based in Wyncote, Pa. and sponsored by the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, has received a $1 million gift from Nance K. Dicciani, PhD, retired president and chief executive officer of the Specialty Materials Division, Honeywell International, Inc.  The gift – the largest in Ancillae-Assumpta Academy’s history – provides a foundation for the $5 million capital campaign, “Engineering Our Future”, including a complete renovation of the current Handmaid Center.  Ms. Dicciani is a 1965 graduate of Ancilla Domini Academy (ADA), the former girls’ high school also sponsored by The Handmaids.
