At Ancillae, we acknowledge and celebrate the diversity within our student body, staff, and community. By weaving diverse backgrounds together, we create an enriched learning experience that prepares our students to engage in the global community with respect and understanding. Love serves as the bridge that connects individuals across diverse backgrounds. We believe that love, in the form of empathy, compassion, and respect, is the foundation for fostering meaningful connections and a sense of belonging.
Across our curriculum, our cultural/global competency strand focuses on building understanding between people, appreciating different cultural perspectives, and building relationships. These lessons help students become aware of their own world view, develop positive attitudes toward cultural differences, gain knowledge of different cultural practices and world views, and develop skills for communication and interaction. Our students benefit greatly from the many projects, presentations, and community announcements that are shared throughout the year at different grade levels.
