Our Admissions Process

Ancillae requires that students applying to preschool have turned two and a half years old before Sept. 1 of the year they enter Ancillae; for kindergarten applicants, five years old; for first grade applicants, six years old.

1 — Apply Online

Follow this link to begin the application process for Ancillae-Assumpta Academy in Finalsite Enrollment.  Once you create an account and submit an application, you will then be directed to your admissions checklist that will walk you through our full process! Both the Application and Parent Questionnaire need to be received before you can schedule a student visit day.

2 — Schedule Your Child's School Visit

Early education applicants (SSM/PS/K) are typically assessed on Saturday mornings in the winter. This student visit experience helps us get to know your child and introduces your child to our Montessori environment.  Assessment appointments are scheduled through the calendar in your child’s admissions checklist. After March 1, all student visits are scheduled directly with families while space is still available.

3 — Request Teacher Recommendation

Kindergarten applicants: Please have your child's current school complete the Teacher Recommendation form through Finalsite Enrollment so we can get to know your child and his/her strengths and needs. Forms should be received by Ancillae no later than your child’s visit/assessment date. 

Important Reminders

Online application forms are available beginning October 1. The deadline to submit a complete application with all its components for first-round consideration is January 1. Applications completed subsequently will be considered for any remaining spaces on a rolling basis. The greatest availability of spaces for new students in the Early Childhood program’s entry points of preschool and kindergarten is in the first round.

During this 8:00-2:00 school day visit, students will spend time in a classroom of their current grade level and participate in assessments that help us learn more about your child’s learning style and readiness to meet our curriculum.  Assessment appointments are scheduled through the calendar in your child’s admissions checklist. After March 1, all student visits are scheduled directly with families while space is still available.

3 — Request Teacher Recommendation & Records

Forms should be received by Ancillae no later than your child’s visit/assessment date.  Copies of (1) last year’s final report card and (2) this year’s most recent report card are also required to be uploaded to Finalsite Enrollment by the parent.

The admission fees include application [$50], assessment [$80 to $100, age/grade appropriate], and deposit [$700].  Application and assessment fees are due prior to the student visit. Reservation deposits are as stated in the acceptance letter.

Families follow an enrollment checklist in the Parent Portal to submit all required documents for enrollment including Birth certificate, and baptismal certificates [where applicable], and the enrollment contract.

Student health forms are required to be returned prior to August 1st and no later than the start of the new school year. Those forms include a physical examination form and certificate of immunization to be completed by the family physician, a health history to be completed by the parent/s, and a dental examination record to be completed by the family dentist.

If you plan to apply for financial aid, we strongly recommend completing your student's application, including the financial aid application, before January 1.
