Multi-Cultural Families

The Multi-Cultural Families (MFC) of Ancillae-Assumpta Academy united to develop and plan activities that reflect the rich cultural heritages represented by the students of AAA. An integral component of Ancillae-Assumpta Academy’s philosophy is to “appreciate the importance of a global viewpoint and to see the inter-related ness of people, preparing them for the challenges and demands of the future.”

Our yearly endeavors include announcements in the AAA Monthly Family Newsletter that list multicultural events in Philadelphia or surrounding communities and a Spring season donation of a series of multicultural books to the school’s library to enhance the existing Book Celebration initiative. Our most recent yearly commitment is to participate in the Family Pasta Dinner by providing a sampling of delicious foods from around the world that represent the multicultural families of AAA.

The Multi-Cultural Families meetings are twice a year and are listed in the school’s Calendar/Handbook for the months of October and February. We invite you to join us and participate fully in the development and planning of events that promote an understanding and appreciation for the cultural diversity that exists at AAA.
