A Letter from the Director

Dear Friends and Visitors,

On behalf of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the school community of Ancillae-Assumpta Academy, I warmly welcome you to our website. As the Director, I am honored to be a part of the Academy's outstanding tradition of excellence and am energized to advance the Academy toward continued success.  I invite you to explore what it means to be a part of a school that promotes shared Responsibility, human Interdependence, dynamic Creativity and people Empowerment. Our leadership team, faculty, and staff work as one to support and challenge our students to be R.I.C.E.-filled people.

As a private Catholic elementary school, Ancillae-Assumpta Academy has a clearly articulated and rigorous curriculum rooted in Gospel values and focused on 21st century skills. Since 1945, the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus have provided a unique educational program for students in pre-school through grade eight.  We remain committed to providing a wholesome, comprehensive program addressing the spiritual, academic, cultural, and physical needs of our students.  With our Shared Vision 20/20 plan, the Academy is looking ahead to continue advancement in the areas of curriculum, staff development, facilities, and networking.

Saint Raphaela Mary, foundress of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspired our educational mission when she stated, "the teaching in our schools is more than a profession; it is a priestly function and the school building is more than a school, it is a sanctuary." As you explore our school, we hope you share our respect and awe for the holy ground on which we as educators tread every day.

With love and for love,

Amy Lintner
