Ancillae-Assumpta Academy offers a strong and rigorous academic curriculum for its students. In grades one through eight, the core subject areas of English, math, science, social studies, language arts, music, art, religion, physical education and health are complemented by courses in Spanish, library science and computer education. The Stepping Stones Into Montessori offering gives children two and one half to four years of age an opportunity for socialization and learning experiences in a cooperative and friendly environment while providing the basics of Montessori philosophy. The pre-school and kindergarten Montessori Unit offers children the opportunity to learn through a self-paced method of education.
To enhance the learning experience of all students, the Curriculum Council and faculty develop comprehensive themes across the curriculum. Skilled instruction, the integration of technology and a cooperative setting promote interdependence and a dynamic style of learning.
Ancillae-Assumpta Academy is proud of the academic achievements of its students. Their success in local, regional and national levels of competition is exceptional, and includes the areas of art, history, language arts, mathematics, music, public speaking, science, and writing.
Students graduate from the Academy and gain acceptance to some of the area's finest and most prestigious high schools, with an average of 20% receiving academic scholarships.
